INSOLE COURT // THIS HOUSE IS A STAGE

Insole Court is a hidden gem in the outskirts of Cardiff. With a client who was enthusiastic about taking a risk, but on a limited budget, the story of four generations of the Insole family was retold through a 35 minute audio play.

These vividly retold memories, evoked through set dressing, props and lighting occupied the semi-derelict rooms on the first floor of the gothic mansion. The visitor walked through rooms, that oozed atmosphere, following voices as they went.

Each memory conveyed an emotion, pain, joy and grief of the family as they grew in wealth and stature in Victorian Cardiff society. The house itself being a major character in this drama.
